The issue

On certain Impreza wagon, the liftgate stay damper bolts may not have received adequate tightening torque during vehicle assembly. After repeated rear gate operations, loose stud bolts can cause the welded nuts to fail, allowing the liftgate to drop suddenly, and placing anyone underneath or near the gate at risk of personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and repair as necessary.

Sur certains véhicules, les boulons des vérins du hayon pourraient ne pas avoir reçu le couple de serrage adéquat pendant le montage du véhicule. Après une utilisation répétée du hayon arrière, des goujons desserrés pourraient faire en sorte que les écrous soudés fassent défaut, ce qui permettrait au hayon de tomber subitement et mettrait quiconque se trouvant en dessous ou près du hayon à risque d'être blessé. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront effectuer l'inspection et les réparations le cas échéant.
