The issue

On certain trucks, a harness support bracket mounted on the underside of the cab may come into contact with the fuel line at the top of the fuel splitter valve (on units with a duel under-cab fuel tank setup). In time, the fuel hose may suffer chafe damage which could create a fuel leak. Fuel leakage, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a vehicle fire causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will replace the fuel splitter valve bracket, and modify the battery cable routing bracket, to provide adequate clearance between the two components.

Sur certains camions, un support de faisceau de câbles fixé sous la cabine pourrait entrer en contact avec la canalisation de carburant au sommet du robinet de répartition du carburant (sur les véhicules munis d'un réservoir de carburant double situé sous la cabine). La canalisation de carburant pourrait finir par subir une usure par frottement, ce qui pourrait provoquer une fuite de carburant. En présence d'une source d'inflammation, une fuite de carburant pourrait provoquer un incendie, endommager des biens matériels, blesser quelqu'un ou entraîner des pertes de vie. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer le support du robinet de répartition du carburant, et modifier le support d'acheminement de câble de batterie, pour produire un dégagement adéquat entre les deux pièces.
