The issue

Issue: On certain trucks, the steering gear may not have been assembled correctly. As a result, the steering gear could break and cause a loss of steering. Safety Risk: A loss of steering control could create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: PACCAR will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the serial number on the steering gear, and replace it, if necessary.

Problème : Dans certains camions, le mécanisme de direction pourrait avoir été mal assemblé. Par conséquent, le mécanisme pourrait se briser et causer une perte de maîtrise de la direction. Risques pour la sécurité : Une perte de maîtrise de la direction pourrait créer un risque d'accident. Mesures correctives : PACCAR doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour faire inspecter le numéro de série du mécanisme de direction, et le remplacer au besoin.
