The issue

On certain vehicles, the fasteners that attach the steering arm or tie rod arm to the spindle may have been over or under tightened during assembly process. Incorrectly torqued steering arm fasteners may fatigue and fracture, possibly causing a crash without warning. Correction: Dealers will inspect fasteners and apply correct tightening torque.

Sur certains véhicules, les fixations qui relient le bras de direction ou la biellette de direction à la fusée peuvent avoir été serrées à un couple excessif ou insuffisant lors du montage. Des fixations de bras de direction avec un mauvais serrage peuvent subir de la fatigue et se rompre, ce qui pourrait provoquer un accident sans avertissement. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter les fixations et appliquer le couple de serrage approprié.
