The issue

On certain motorcycles, it is possible for the coating to separate from the inside face of the steering damper housing. If this happens, the coating could partially clog the oil bores within the damper. Should this occur, the steering damper could become stiff, making it difficult to steer, and therefore could result in a vehicle crash causing personal injuries or death. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the steering damper.

Sur certaines motocyclettes, il est possible que le revêtement se détache de la surface intérieure du réservoir d'amortisseur de direction. Si cela se produisait, le revêtement pourrait boucher partiellement les orifices pour l'huile dans l'amortisseur. L'amortisseur de direction pourrait alors se raidir, ce qui rendrait la direction difficile à manoeuvrer et, donc, pourrait causer un accident, blesser quelqu'un ou entraîner des pertes de vie. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter et, le cas échéant, remplacer l'amortisseur de direction.
