The issue

On certain motorhomes, the battery cable is routed too close to a sharp edge that is located on top of a shelf installed over the driveshaft. This can cause abrasion damage to the battery cable insulation, leading to an electrical short and possibly a vehicle fire. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace or repair damaged cables, and install an edge guard.

Sur certaines autocaravanes, le câble de batterie passe trop près d'un rebord coupant situé sur le dessus d'une tablette posée au-dessus de l'arbre de transmission. Cela pourrait endommager par abrasion l'isolation du câble de batterie et provoquer un court-circuit ou même un incendie. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter et, le cas échéant, remplacer ou réparer les câbles endommagés; ils devront aussi poser un protecteur de rebord.
