The issue
On certain vehicles, a wiring harness connector for the heating, ventilation and air conditioning blower motor located under the passenger's side of the instrument panel may be subject to kicking by the front seat passenger's feet. If this occurs, the connector terminal may overheat, and this may cause the wire insulation to melt or the wiring connector to melt. A fire may occur if the wiring insulation melts and the exposed wires make contact with each other and create a short circuit. Correction: Dealers will replace damaged connectors and install a protective cover.

Sur certains véhicules, un connecteur de faisceau de fils relié au moteur de ventilateur du système de chauffage, de ventilation et de climatisation se trouvant en-dessous du tableau de bord du côté passager pourrait être accroché par les pieds du passager. Si cela se produisait, la borne du connecteur pourrait surchauffer, ce qui pourrait faire fondre l'isolant ou le connecteur du fil. Un incendie pourrait se produire si l'isolant du fil fondait et si les fils exposés se touchaient et produisaient un court-circuit. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer les connecteurs endommagés et poser un protecteur.
