The issue

On certain vehicles, the material covering the instrument panel may not be properly scored to allow the complete deployment of the passenger side airbag. In the event of a crash, the airbag will not deploy properly, increasing the risk of personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will inspect the instrument panel skin and replace if necessary.

Sur certains véhicules, les matériaux qui recouvrent le tableau de bord pourraient ne pas être adéquatement taillés pour permettre le déploiement complet du coussin gonflable du passager. En cas d'accident, le coussin gonflable ne se déploiera pas adéquatement, ce qui augmentera les risques de blessures ou de décès. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter le matériau qui recouvre le tableau de bord et le remplacer au besoin.
