The issue

On certain vehicles that were not equipped with a factory sunroof, the supplemental side airbag inflatable curtain may not position properly during inflation. The side curtain airbag will still timely deploy and meet and exceed applicable safety standards. Correction: Dealers will install a bracket and foam block behind the "B" pillar upper trim cover to improve side curtain airbag positioning in the event of a deployment. This action is a Customer Satisfaction Campaign and is not being conducted as per the requirements of the Motor Vehicle Safety Act.

Sur certains véhicules non munis d'un toit ouvrant d'origine, le rideau gonflable pourrait ne pas se positionner adéquatement en se gonflant. Cependant, le rideau gonflable se gonflera rapidement et au bon moment; de plus, il dépassera les normes de sécurité applicables. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront poser un support et un bloc de mousse derrière le couvre-garniture supérieur du montant milieu pour améliorer le positionnement du rideau gonflable en cas de déploiement. Ce rappel vise à satisfaire la clientèle et n'est pas exigé par la Loi sur la sécurité automobile.
