The issue

On certain vehicles equipped with a full-time four-wheel drive system, the transfer case controller could fail. This could cause the transfer case to shift into or through the neutral position, which may allow the vehicle to roll away, even with the transmission in the PARK position. Should the vehicle roll away, it could strike another vehicle, stationary object, or a bystander, causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will reprogram the final drive controller with updated software.

Sur certains véhicules à traction intégrale à prise constante, le dispositif de commande de la boîte de transfert pourrait faire défaut. Cela pourrait faire en sorte que la boîte de transfert passe au point mort ou par le point mort, ce qui pourrait permettre au véhicule de se mettre en mouvement, même avec la boîte de vitesses en position PARK. Si le véhicule se mettait en mouvement, il pourrait percuter un autre véhicule, un objet stationnaire ou une personne se trouvant à proximité, ce qui endommagerait des biens matériels ou blesserait quelqu'un. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront reprogrammer le dispositif de commande de l'entraînement final à l'aide d'un logiciel à jour.
