The issue
On certain vehicles, there is a potential for the engine to start without warning due to an unintended path to ground. This can occur when either the negative battery cable is disconnected at the battery / fusible link or if the fusible link opens as a result of a short circuit. If the engine starts without warning, while being serviced, for example, it could cause personal injuries to anyone in the immediate vicinity. Correction: Dealers will install a jumper wiring harness between the engine harness and the chassis harness.

Sur certains véhicules, il y a un risque que le moteur démarre subitement à cause d'un parcours de mise à la masse non voulu. Cela pourrait se produire lorsque le câble négatif de la batterie est débranché au niveau de la batterie/de l'élément fusible ou que l'élément fusible s'ouvre suite à un court-circuit. Si le moteur démarrait subitement, pendant son entretien par exemple, cela pourrait blesser quelqu'un se trouvant à proximité. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront poser un faisceau de câbles entre le faisceau de câbles du moteur et celui du châssis.
