The issue

On certain vehicles equipped with a Carrier GenV EM-1 evaporator unit, the blower motor fuse assembly may allow the fuse to loosen over time, which could result in high resistance and arcing. If sufficient arcing occurs the fuse holder may melt, which could cause smoke and/or fire. A vehicle fire could result in property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Carrier will provide a retrofit kit along with installation instructions.

Sur certains véhicules munis d'un évaporateur Carrier GenV EM-1, le porte-fusible du moteur de la soufflante pourrait permettre au fusible de se desserrer à la longue, ce qui pourrait causer la formation d'arcs et une résistance élevée. Si une quantité suffisante d'arcs est produite, le porte­fusible pourrait fondre, ce qui pourrait produire de la fumée ou un incendie. Un incendie pourrait endommager des biens matériels ou blesser quelqu'un. Correction : La compagnie Carrier devra fournir une trousse de mise à jour, ainsi que des instructions permettant d'en effectuer la pose.
