The issue

On certain vehicles, the fuel support assembly may have been incorrectly welded during the manufacturing process. Should certain welds fail, portions of the support structure could contact the ground or separate from the vehicle. Sections of the fuel tank support separating from the vehicle could strike another vehicle, stationary object, or bystander, causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, reinforce the fuel support assembly.

Sur certains véhicules, le support du réservoir à carburant pourrait avoir été mal soudé pendant le procédé de fabrication. Si certaines soudures faisaient défaut, des parties de la structure de soutien pourraient toucher au sol ou se détacher du véhicule. Des sections du support du réservoir à carburant se détachant du véhicule pourraient percuter un autre véhicule, un objet stationnaire ou une personne se trouvant à proximité, ce qui endommagerait des biens matériels ou blesserait quelqu'un. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter et, si nécessaire, renforcer le support du réservoir à carburant.
