The issue
On certain motorhomes, the bolts attaching the rear trailer hitch to the frame may not have received adequate tightening torque during vehicle assembly. If the bolts loosen, the trailer hitch could separate from the vehicle. A hitch assembly or a towed unit separating from the towing vehicle could strike another vehicle, stationary object, or bystander, causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will tighten the trailer hitch fasteners to specifications.

Sur certaines autocaravanes, les boulons qui fixent la sellette d'attelage arrière au châssis pourraient ne pas avoir été serrés adéquatement lors du montage du véhicule. Si les boulons se desserraient, la sellette pourrait se détacher du véhicule. Une sellette ou une unité remorquée qui se détache du véhicule tracteur pourrait aller percuter un autre véhicule, un objet stationnaire ou une personne se trouvant à proximité, ce qui endommagerait des biens matériels ou blesserait quelqu'un. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront serrer les dispositifs de fixation de la sellette conformément aux spécifications.
