Recall 2011401

The issue

On certain fire trucks, the self-contained breathing apparatus cylinder storage compartments may have been assembled with incorrectly manufactured door latches. Should a compartment door open while the vehicle is underway, stowed items could fall from the vehicle and strike another vehicle, a stationary object, or a bystander, causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction Dealers will modify the door latching mechanisms.

Sur certains camions de pompiers, les compartiments d'entreposage des bouteilles des appareils respiratoires autonomes pourraient avoir été munis de loquets de porte comportant un vice de fabrication. Si la porte d'un compartiment s'ouvrait pendant que le véhicule roule, des articles entreposés pourraient tomber du véhicule et percuter un autre véhicule, un objet stationnaire ou une personne se trouvant à proximité, ce qui endommagerait des biens matériels ou blesserait quelqu'un. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront modifier les loquets de porte.
