The issue
On certain vehicles, the jump-start positive terminal block cable could chafe against various components which, over time, could cause abrasion damage to the cable insulation, possibly resulting in an electrical short circuit. An electrical short could result in a vehicle fire causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will install a protective convolute sleeve over the cable.

Sur certains véhicules, le câble positif de démarrage-secours pourrait s'user par frottement contre diverses pièces, ce qui, à la longue, pourrait endommager par abrasion l'isolant du câble et causer un courtcircuit. Un court-circuit pourrait incendier le véhicule, endommager des biens matériels ou blesser quelqu'un. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront poser un manchon spire protecteur sur le câble.
