The issue

On certain truck-mounted telescopic articulating aerial devices, the outrigger cylinder piston retention system may not have been sufficiently tightened during the assembly process. As a result, the cylinder could loosen from the rod, allowing an outrigger leg in the stowed position to protrude beyond the confines of the chassis. As such, the outrigger could strike a vehicle, stationary object, or a bystander, causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will tighten the outrigger cylinder piston retention system to the specified torque.

Sur certains dispositifs aériens télescopiques articulés et fixés sur un camion, le système de retenue du piston de cylindre pour le stabilisateur n'a peut-être pas été suffisamment serré lors de l'assemblage. Par conséquent, le cylindre pourrait se desserrer de la tige, ce qui ferait dépasser le stabilisateur en position rangée du châssis. Le stabilisateur pourrait alors heurter un véhicule, un objet stationnaire ou un passant et causer des dommages aux biens et/ou des blessures corporelles. Correction : Les concessionnaires doivent serrer le système de retenue du piston de cylindre pour le stabilisateur selon le couple prescrit.
