The issue

On certain buses, the push-button ignition switch could fail to return after being depressed. This would allow the engine to start unexpectedly when the ignition circuit is re-energized, which could injure someone working in the engine compartment. Correction: New Flyer will provide fleet operators with directives to inspect and replace both ignition switches (in the driver’s area, and in the engine compartment).

Sur certains autobus, le démarreur à bouton pourrait ne pas revenir en place après avoir été enfoncé. Cela pourrait causer le démarrage inattendu du moteur lorsque le circuit de démarrage est remis sous tension, ce qui pourrait causer des blessures à toute personne travaillant dans le compartiment du moteur. Correction : New Flyer fournira aux exploitants de parcs routiers des directives sur la façon d'inspecter et de remplacer les deux démarreurs (celui au poste de conduite et celui dans le compartiment du moteur).
