The issue

Certain vehicles may not comply with Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 103 - Windshield Defrosting and Defogging. The heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) controls in these vehicles may intermittently become inoperable when the vehicle is started. If this occurs, the HVAC system will remain on the previous settings in place at the time the vehicle was shut off. This could interfere with windshield defrosting and/or defogging, causing reduced visibility and increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will reprogram the electronic climate control module.

Certains véhicules pourraient ne pas être conformes aux exigences de la NSVAC 103 - Dégivrage et désembuage du pare-brise. Les commandes du système à CVC (chauffage, ventilation et climatisation) dans ces véhicules peuvent cesser de fonctionner de façon intermittente lorsqu'on démarre le véhicule. Dan un tel cas, le système CVC gardera les réglages établis au moment où le véhicules a été arrêté. Ceci pourrait nuire au dégivrage et/ou au désembuage du pare-brise, réduire la visibilité, augmenter les risques d'accident et entraîner des blessures ou des dommages matériels. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront reprogrammer le module de contrôle de climatisation électronique.
