The issue

On certain vehicles, the low beam headlamp bulbs may lose electrical contact if the hood is closed roughly, or dropped from a certain height. This could compromise driver visibility and increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect and adjust hood bumpers to prevent the hood from contacting the headlamp assemblies, and will also install improved bulb fittings.

Sur certains véhicules, les ampoules des feux de croisement pourraient perdre leur contact électrique si le capot était fermé brusquement ou s'il était lâché à partir d'une certaine hauteur. Cela pourrait compromettre la visibilité du conducteur et augmenter les risques d'accident blessant quelqu'un ou endommageant des biens matériels. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter et régler les pare­chocs de capot pour empêcher le capot de toucher aux phares; ils devront aussi poser des raccords d'ampoule améliorés.
