The issue

On certain vehicles equipped with power heated mirrors, an electrical connector within the door may corrode, potentially resulting in an electrical short. This could result in a burning odour, smoke, or fire, increasing the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will modify electrical wiring and install a water shield.

Sur certains véhicules munis de rétroviseurs électriques chauffants, un connecteur électrique situé à l'intérieur de la portière pourrait se corroder et entraîner un court-circuit. Cela pourrait provoquer une odeur de brûlé, de la fumée ou un incendie, augmentant ainsi les risques de blessures corporelles ou de dommages matériels. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront modifier le câblage électrique et installer une feuille d'étanchéité.
