The issue

On certain vehicles, the software of the ABS control unit (ECU) is incomplete. The software required to initiate the illumination of the red "BRAKE" warning lamp during the check of lamp function, when the ignition switch is turned to the "ON" position, when the engine is not running, is not included. This could result in the driver not being aware that the lamp is inoperative, and the light not illuminating to notify the driver when the brake fluid pressure or fluid level is too low, which could increase the risk of a crash. Correction: Dealers will reprogram the ABS control unit.

Sur certains véhicules, le logiciel de l'unité de commande du système ABS est incomplet. Le logiciel requis pour allumer le voyant d'avertissement « BRAKE » rouge pendant la vérification du fonctionnement de voyant, lorsque l'interrupteur d'allumage est mis en position ON, lorsque le moteur ne fonctionne pas, n'est pas inclus. Cela pourrait faire en sorte que le conducteur ne réalise pas que le voyant ne fonctionne pas, et que le voyant ne s'allume pas pour aviser le conducteur lorsque le niveau ou la pression du liquide de freinage est trop bas, ce qui pourrait augmenter les risques d'un accident. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront reprogrammer l'unité de commande du système ABS.
