The issue

Certain motorcycles may experience an unintended activation of one of the fuel injectors by the engine control unit (ECU). This could result in the engine either not starting, or if already running normally, may lose ignition to one cylinder (caused by excessive fuelling), which would lead to a loss of vehicle propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the rider's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the ECU.

Certaines motocyclettes pourraient connaître une activation subite de l'un des injecteurs à carburant par l'unité de commande du moteur (UCM). Cela pourrait faire en sorte que le moteur ne démarre pas ou, s'il tourne déjà normalement, perde l'allumage au niveau d'un cylindre (à cause d'une alimentation excessive en carburant), ce qui mènerait à une perte de propulsion du véhicule qui, en conjonction avec la densité de la circulation, l'état de la route et les réactions du conducteur, pourrait augmenter les risques d'un accident blessant quelqu'un ou endommageant des biens matériels. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer l'UCM.
