The issue

On certain vehicles equipped with the "Pride & Class" option, the steering wheel fastener nut may have been insufficiently tightened during vehicle assembly, or an incorrect nut may have been installed. This could allow the steering wheel to become loose and slip in relation to the steering column shaft, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will inspect the nut and replace/re-torque as necessary.

Sur certains véhicules munis de l'option Pride & Class, l'écrou de fixation du volant pourrait ne pas avoir été assez serré pendant le montage du véhicule, ou un écrou incorrect pourrait avoir été posé. Cela pourrait permettre au volant de se desserrer et de glisser par rapport à l'arbre de la colonne de direction, ce qui augmente les risques d'un accident blessant quelqu'un ou endommageant des biens matériels. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter l'écrou et le remplacer/resserrer au besoin.
