The issue
On certain vehicles, the brake lamp switch can bend and/or corrode. In some circumstances, the ABS or the Brake Warning lamp may illuminate. Bending or corrosion to the brake lamp switch could lead to inoperative brake lamps, which could increase the risk of crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will apply a protector and waterproof cover with an extension harness to prevent bending and corrosion.

Sur certains véhicules, l'interruteur des feux de freinage peut se plier ou se corroder. Dans certaines circonstances, le voyant des freins ou du système ABS pourrait s'allumer. Si l'interrupteur des feux de freinage se pliait ou se corrodait, cela pourrait faire en sorte que les feux de freinage cessent de fonctionner, ce qui pourrait augmenter les risques d'un accident blessant quelqu'un ou endommageant des biens matériels. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront appliquer un protecteur et un dispositif de recouvrement à l'épreuve de l'eau avec un faisceau rallonge pour empêcher le pliage et la corrosion.
