The issue

On certain vehicles equipped with Electronic Stability Control (ESC), the steering wheel assembly contains an incorrect horn contact plate. The contact plate could damage the ESC sensor mounted below the steering wheel due to insufficient clearance. This could result in a malfunction of the Electronic Stability Control system, which could increase the risk of a crash causing Injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the steering wheel horn contact plate and ESC sensor.

Sur certains véhicules munis d'un électro­stabilisateur programmé (ESP), le volant contient une plaque de contact de klaxon incorrecte. La plaque de contact pourrait endommager le capteur de l'ESP fixé sous le volant à cause d'un dégagement insuffisant. Cela pourrait résulter en un mauvais fonctionnement de l'ESP, ce qui pourrait augmenter les risques d'un accident blessant quelqu'un ou endommageant des biens matériels. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer le capteur de l'ESP et la plaque de contact de klaxon du volant.
