The issue

On certain vehicles, the left-rear or right-rear parking brake cable brackets may not have been properly fastened during the assembly process. If the fastening bolts backed out completely, the parking brake bracket would separate causing the parking brake to fail. If this were to occur, the vehicle could roll away, which could result in a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the left-rear and right-rear parking brake bracket bolts and, if necessary, tighten the bolts to the correct torque specification.

Sur certains véhicules, les supports de câble de frein de stationnement arrière gauche ou arrière droit pourraient avoir été mal serrés lors de l'assemblage. Si les boulons de fixation se desserrent entièrement, le support de frein de stationnement se détachera, ce qui causera une défaillance du frein de stationnement. Si cela se produit, le véhicule pourrait se mettre en mouvement, ce qui pourrait causer une collision pouvant entraîner des blessures ou des dommages matériels (ou les deux). Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter les boulons des supports de frein de stationnement arrière gauche et arrière droit et, au besoin, serrer les boulons au bon couple de serrage.
