The issue

On certain vehicles, the intermediate shaft may have been improperly riveted during manufacturing. An improperly riveted intermediate shaft could separate from the intermediate shaft flex coupling, which could result in a loss of steering control without warning, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the intermediate shaft, and replace if required.

Sur certains véhicules, l'arbre intermédiaire pourrait avoir été mal riveté durant la fabrication. Un arbre intermédiaire mal riveté pourrait se détacher de l'accouplement flexible d'arbre intermédiaire, ce qui pourrait provoquer une perte de direction sans avertissement et, par conséquent, augmenter les risques de collision pouvant entraîner des blessures ou des dommages matériels (ou les deux). Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter l'arbre intermédiaire et le remplacer, au besoin.
