The issue

On certain vehicles equipped with seven seats, the Inflatable Curtain (IC) air bag may not deploy as intended for third row passengers. In the event of a collision that warrants a deployment of the Inflatable Curtain, the interior trim panel on the D-pillar(s) could obstruct the IC from inflating fully. If this were to occur, it could increase the risk of injury to third row seat occupant(s) in certain types of crashes. Correction: Dealers will modify the D-Pillar interior panels to allow full inflation of the inflatable curtain air bag.

Sur certains véhicules munis de sept sièges, le rideau gonflable pourrait ne pas se déployer comme prévu pour les passagers de la troisième rangée. En cas de collision lors de laquelle le déploiement du rideau gonflable est nécessaire, le panneau de garnissage intérieur sur le ou les montants D pourrait obstruer le rideau gonflable et l'empêcher de se gonfler entièrement. Si cela se produit, cela pourrait augmenter les risques de blessures pour le ou les occupants des sièges de la troisième rangée lors de certains types d'accidents. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront modifier les panneaux intérieurs sur les montants D, afin de permettre le gonflage complet du rideau gonflable.
