The issue
On certain travel trailers, the water heater could have been wired incorrectly. While the water heater will still function on propane (LP) gas power, it will not function on electric power, which would cause the "DSI FLT" warning light not to illuminate if the gas is on and did not ignite. If the warning light does not illuminate to notify the operator that the gas did not ignite, a buildup of propane gas may result, which in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire and/or an explosion causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will re-wire the water heater to ensure it will run properly on electric and that the warning light will work properly.

Sur certaines caravanes classiques, le chauffe-eau pourrait ne pas avoir été raccordé correctement. Le chauffe-eau pourra fonctionner avec l'alimentation au propane, mais non avec l'alimentation électrique. Ainsi, le voyant DSI FLT pourrait ne pas s'allumer lorsque le gaz est distribué mais qu'il ne s'enflamme pas. Si le voyant ne s'allume pas pour avertir le conducteur que le gaz ne s'est pas enflammé, une accumulation de propane pourrait survenir et, en présence d'une source d'allumage, causer une incendie et/ou une explosion causant des blessures et/ou des dommages aux biens. Correction : Les concessionnaires doivent recâbler le chauffe-eau et s'assurer que celui-ci et le voyant fonctionnent correctement avec l'alimentation électrique.
