The issue

On certain vehicles built on a Powerglide chassis, insufficient clearance exists between the exhaust pipe and the floor. This could cause the floor insulation to melt and make the floor area above the engine extremely hot, increasing the risk of personal injury or possibly resulting in a fire. Correction: Dealers will install a revised exhaust configuration to increase clearance.

Sur certains véhicules à châssis Powerglide, l'espace entre le tuyau d'échappement et le plancher est insuffisant. Par conséquent, le plancher pourrait fondre et rendre la zone du plancher au-dessus du moteur extrêmement chaude, ce qui augmenterait les risques de blessures ou pourrait causer un incendie. Correction : Les concessionnaires installeront une configuration d'échappement révisée pour accroître l'espace.
