The issue
On certain vehicles, the rear seat bench seat frame could damage the wiring harness to the fuel system control unit. If the wiring harness were to become damaged, the fuel pump, the fuel tank pressure sensor and/or the fuel gauge could fail, depending on the affected wire. Should the fuel pump fail, the fuel supply to the engine would stop, causing the vehicle to stall without warning, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will modify the routing of the wiring harness, and repair it if necessary.

Dans certains véhicules, le cadre de la banquette arrière pourrait endommager le faisceau de câbles du module de commande du circuit de carburant. Si le faisceau de câbles est endommagé, la pompe à carburant, le capteur de pression du réservoir de carburant et/ou l'indicateur de niveau de carburant pourraient présenter une défaillance, selon le câble touché. En cas de défaillance de la pompe à carburant, l'alimentation en carburant du moteur cesserait, ce qui ferait caler le moteur sans avertissement et augmenterait ainsi les risques d'accident pouvant entraîner des blessures ou des dommages matériels (ou les deux). Mesure corrective : Les concessionnaires devront modifier l'acheminement du faisceau de câbles, ainsi que réparer ce dernier au besoin.
