The issue

On certain vehicles outfitted with triple compartment aluminium air tanks, the end caps of the tanks may have received incomplete welds during manufacturing. If a weld were to separate on the tanks, it would result in a rapid loss of air pressure, which could cause reduced brake performance, or unexpected application of the parking brakes, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the affected tanks with triple compartment steel air tanks.

Les bouchons d'étanchéité des bouteilles d'air comprimé à trois compartiments en aluminium de certains véhicules pourraient avoir été mal soudés durant la fabrication. Si une soudure venait à se séparer, la bouteille se dépressuriserait rapidement, ce qui pourrait faire perdre la fonction de freinage au conducteur ou l'encourager à serrer les freins soudainement, augmentant ainsi les risques de collisions causant des blessures et/ou des dommages matériels. Mesures correctives : Les concessionnaires doivent remplacer les bouteilles défectueuses par des bouteilles d'air comprimé à trois compartiments en acier.
