The issue
On certain vehicles equipped with a 5.0L V8 gasoline engine, a fatigue crack could develop on the cover of the high pressure fuel pump. If the vehicle is operated with this condition, the crack could expand and allow fuel to leak. Leaking fuel in the presence of an ignition source could result in a fire, increasing the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the high pressure fuel pumps with improved ones.

Sur certains véhicules munis d'un moteur à essence V8 de 5,0 L, une fissure de fatigue pourrait se former sur le dispositif de recouvrement de la pompe à carburant à haute pression. Si le véhicule était utilisé dans cet état, la fissure pourrait s'agrandir et permettre à du carburant de fuir. Une fuite de carburant en présence d'une source d'inflammation pourrait causer un incendie, ce qui augmenterait le risque de blessures ou de dommages à des biens matériels. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer la pompe à carburant à haute pression par une pompe améliorée.
