The issue

Certain vehicles built with front disc brakes and a Lomax hood may not have enough clearance between the hood and the front brake hose. This could cause chafing of the brake hose, which could lead to an air leak resulting in reduced brake effectiveness and increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Authorized dealers will replace the front brake hose. Note: A leaking front brake hose may not be detectable during a routine pre-trip inspection.

Certains véhicules munis de freins à disque à l'avant et d'un capot Lomax pourraient ne pas avoir un dégagement suffisant entre le capot et la canalisation de freinage avant. Cela pourrait causer l'usure par frottement de la canalisation de freinage, ce qui pourrait causer une fuite d'air diminuant l'efficacité des freins et augmentant les risques d'un accident blessant quelqu'un ou endommageant des biens matériels. Correction : Les concessionnaires autorisés devront remplacer la canalisation de freinage avant. Note : Une canalisation de freinage avant qui fuit pourrait ne pas pouvoir être détectée lors d'une inspection avant-trajet de routine.
