The issue

On certain vehicles, a joint on the high-pressure fuel pump may have been improperly welded during the manufacturing process. Over time, this could cause the weld to crack and create a potential fuel leak. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source could increase the risk of fire, causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the high-pressure fuel pump and high-pressure fuel pipe.

Sur certains véhicules, un joint de la pompe à carburant haute pression pourrait avoir été mal soudé pendant le processus de fabrication. Avec le temps, la soudure pourrait se fissurer et causer une fuite de carburant. En présence d'une source d'inflammation, une fuite de carburant pourrait augmenter les risques d'incendie pouvant entraîner des blessures ou des dommages matériels (ou les deux). Mesure corrective : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer la pompe à carburant haute pression et la conduite de carburant haute pression.
