The issue
On certain convertible cars, the lower universal anchorage system for attaching child safety or booster seats may have been installed incorrectly. In the event of a crash, this could cause the lower anchorage (and an attached child seat) to detach from the car body, increasing the risk of injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and replace the lower universal anchorage system if necessary. Note: Child seats should only be installed using the seat belts in accordance with the owner’s manual and child seat manufacturer’s installation instructions until the recall is performed.

Dans certaines voitures décapotables, le dispositif universel d’ancrage des sièges d'appoint ou de sécurité pour enfant pourrait avoir été mal installé, ce qui pourrait en permettre le dégagement (et celui du siège) lors d’un accident et accroître les risques de blessures. Mesure corrective : les détaillants doivent inspecter et remplacer le système s’il y a lieu. Remarque : avant la mise en œuvre du rappel, il ne faut installer un siège pour enfant qu’avec une ceinture de sécurité, conformément au manuel du propriétaire du véhicule et aux instructions du fabricant du siège.
