The issue

On certain vehicles, the activation of the front seat belt pretensioners in a crash may result in momentary ignition of pretensioner exhaust gases. This could ignite materials in the B-pillar area, leading to a fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the B-pillar area, modify the floor covering and sound insulation, and apply heat-resistant tape.

Sur certains véhicules, l'activation des prétendeurs de ceinture de sécurité avant lors d'une collision pourrait causer l'inflammation momentanée des gaz d'échappement de prétendeur. Cela pourrait enflammer les matériaux dans la zone du montant central (pilier B), ce qui causerait un incendie blessant quelqu'un ou endommageant des biens matériels. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter la zone du montant central, modifier le revêtement de plancher et l'insonorisation, et appliquer du ruban résistant à la chaleur.
