The issue

On certain vehicles, the footwell module (FRM3) may become contaminated by a mixture of salt and moisture which could lead to corrosion over time. This could cause a short circuit, resulting in overheating of the module that could lead to a fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the footwell module, and replace if necessary. A protective film will be also installed over the module. Note: Owners are advised to park the vehicle outdoors until the recall repairs have been completed.

Sur certains véhicules, le module de plancher (FRM3) pourrait devenir contaminé par un mélange de sel et d'humidité, ce qui pourrait causer de la corrosion à la longue. Cela pourrait causer un court-circuit résultant en une surchauffe du module qui pourrait provoquer un incendie blessant quelqu'un ou endommageant des biens matériels. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter le module de plancher et le remplacer si nécessaire. Un film protecteur sera également installé sur le module. Note : On avise les propriétaires qu'ils devraient stationner leur véhicule à l'extérieur jusqu'à ce que les réparations aient été effectuées.
