The issue

Issue: On certain vehicles, the instrument cluster may be blank upon start-up. If this happens, the driver would not be provided with information and warnings about vehicle systems. Safety Risk: If the driver is not provided with information about the vehicle’s systems, there could be an increased risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer to have the instrument cluster display reprogrammed.

Problème : Le tableau de bord de certains véhicules pourrait ne rien afficher lors du démarrage. Si cela se produisait, le conducteur n'aurait pas accès à l'information et aux avertissements relatifs aux systèmes du véhicule. Risque pour la sécurité : Si le conducteur n'a pas accès à l'information relative aux systèmes du véhicule, les risques d'accident pourraient être accrus. Mesures correctives : Le constructeur doit aviser les propriétaires par courrier d'apporter leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour faire reprogrammer le tableau de bord.
