The issue

Issue: On certain vehicles, the exhaust hanger brackets may crack and allow the tail pipe to separate from the vehicle. Safety Risk: If the exhaust tail pipe falls off, it could become a hazard for road users and bystanders. This could create a risk of injury and/or a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer to have the rear exhaust hanger bracket replaced. Dealers will also inspect and replace any forward bracket found cracked and/or tail pipe that is damaged.

Problème : Sur certains véhicules, les supports de suspension de l'échappement peuvent se fissurer et permettre au tuyau arrière d'échappement de se séparer du véhicule. Risque pour la sécurité : Si le tuyau arrière d'échappement tombe, il pourrait devenir dangereux pour les usagers de la route et les passants et augmenter les risques de blessures et/ou d'accidents. Mesures correctives : Le constructeur doit aviser les propriétaires par courrier d'apporter leur véhicule chez le concessionnaire pour faire remplacer les supports de suspension de l'échappement arrière. Les concessionnaires doivent également inspecter et remplacer tout support avant fissuré et/ou tuyau arrière d'échappement endommagé.
