The issue
Issue: On certain cars, the wheel lug nuts may not be properly tightened due to a manufacturing issue. This could cause the nuts to loosen or fall off, and could result in a wheel separating from the car. Safety Risk: A wheel separation could increase the risk of a crash. A wheel that separates could also hit another person or vehicle. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their car to a dealer to re-tighten the front and rear wheel nuts to the proper specification.

Problème : Sur certains véhicules, les écrous de roue peuvent ne pas être serrés correctement en raison d'un problème de fabrication. Risques pour la sécurité : La séparation des roues peut augmenter les risques d'accident. Une roue qui se sépare peut aussi heurter une autre personne ou un autre véhicule. Mesures correctives : Le constructeur doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur voiture chez un concessionnaire pour faire resserrer les écrous des roues avant et arrière selon les spécifications appropriées.
