The issue

Issue: A defective blower motor may have been installed on some trucks that were repaired under recall 2019-512 (Ford recall 19S34). The replacement motor may have been built incorrectly and could short circuit. As a result, a second repair may be required. Safety Risk: A short circuit could cause overheating, melting, smoke, and create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a Ford or Lincoln dealer to inspect the blower motor. It will be replaced if it was made during an identified time period.

Problème : Un moteur de soufflerie défectueux pourrait avoir été installé dans certains camions réparés conformément au rappel 2019-512 (rappel 19S34 de Ford). Le moteur de remplacement pourrait avoir été fabriqué incorrectement et subir un court-circuit. Une deuxième réparation pourrait donc s'imposer. Risques pour la sécurité : Un court-circuit peut entraîner une surchauffe, une fusion et une émission de fumée, ainsi que poser des risques d'incendie. Mesures correctives : Ford doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur camion chez un concessionnaire Ford ou Lincoln, afin que le moteur de soufflerie y soit inspecté et remplacé, si ce dernier a été fabriqué pendant la période identifiée.
