The issue
Issue: On certain trailers, the clip that holds the air hose spring could fall off of the chassis. If this happens, an air hose could drag on the ground and be damaged. As a result, there could be an air leak that can cause reduced brake performance. Safety Risk: Reduced brake performance can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company has notified all owners by mail and provided them with instructions for how to inspect their trailer and replace the defective beam clips (grey) with new ones (gold/yellow).

Problème : Sur certaines remorques, l'attache qui maintient le ressort du tuyau d'air pourrait se détacher du châssis. Si cela se produisait, le tuyau d'air pourrait traîner sur le sol et s'endommager. En conséquence, il pourrait y avoir une fuite d'air qui pourrait entraîner une réduction des performances de freinage. Risques pour la sécurité : Une réduction des performances de freinage peut entraîner des distances d'arrêt plus longues et augmenter les risques de collision. Mesures correctives : Le constructeur a avisé tous les propriétaires par la poste et leur a fourni des instructions sur la manière d'inspecter leur remorque et de remplacer les attaches du faisceau de fils défectueux (gris) par un nouveau faisceau (or/jaune).
