The issue
Issue: On certain trucks, the warning light for the anti-lock brake system (ABS) may not turn on when there is a system fault. As a result, the driver may not get warning that the ABS and automatic traction control (ATC) systems are turned off. Safety Risk: If a driver is not warned that the ABS and ATC systems are not working, there could be an increased risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Navistar will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to an International dealer to update the software for the body control module (BCM).

Problème : Sur certains camions, le témoin du système de freinage antiblocage (ABS) pourrait ne pas s'allumer en cas de défaillance du système. Par conséquent, le conducteur pourrait ne pas être averti que les systèmes ABS et le système d'antipatinage à l'accélération (ATC) sont désactivés. Risques pour la sécurité : Si le conducteur n'est pas averti que les systèmes ABS et ATC ne fonctionnent pas, il pourrait y avoir un risque accru de collision. Mesures correctives : Navistar doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur camion chez un concessionnaire International pour faire mettre à jour le logiciel du module de confort-commodité (MCC).
