The issue
Issue: On certain trucks equipped with a gasoline engine, the engine wiring harness (EGI) may not have been assembled correctly. As a result, an exposed wire could cause a short circuit. If this happens, the engine could stall and/or there could be electrical arcing. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Electrical arcing could damage surrounding material and increase the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Nissan will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to inspect the EGI harness and replace it with a new one if it is damaged. If no damage is found, the harness will be reassembled correctly.

Problème : Sur certains camions munis d'un moteur à essence, le faisceau de câbles du moteur (EGI) pourrait avoir été mal assemblé. Par conséquent, un fil exposé pourrait provoquer un court-circuit. Si cela se produit, le moteur pourrait caler et/ou il pourrait y avoir un arc électrique. Risques pour la sécurité : Une perte soudaine de puissance motrice pourrait augmenter les risques d'accident. Un arc électrique pourrait endommager les composants environnants et augmenter les risques d'incendie. Mesures correctives : Nissan doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur camion chez un concessionnaire pour inspecter le faisceau de câbles EGI et le remplacer par un nouveau faisceau de câbles s'il est endommagé. Si aucun dommage n'est constaté, le faisceau de câbles sera réassemblé correctement.
