The issue

Issue: On certain vehicles, the bolts that connect the 48-V battery cables to the starter-generator may not have been installed correctly. As a result, the electrical connections could overheat. Safety Risk: Electrical connections that overheat could increase the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: BMW will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the bolts connecting the 48-V battery cables to the starter-generator and replace them, if necessary.

Problème : Sur certains véhicules, les boulons qui relient les câbles de la batterie 48 V au démarreur-générateur pourraient avoir été mal installés. Par conséquent, les connexions électriques pourraient surchauffer. Risques pour la sécurité : Des connexions électriques qui suchauffent pourraient augmenter les risques d'incendie. Mesures correctives : BMW doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour inspecter les boulons qui relient les câbles de la batterie 48 V au démarreur-générateur, et les remplacer au besoin.
