The issue

Issue: On certain vehicles, the fuel tank sending unit lock ring and fuel line may not be installed correctly. As a result, the fuel line could disconnect from the sending unit and leak fuel. If this happens while driving, the engine could stall suddenly. Safety Risk: A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. A sudden loss of engine power while driving could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Nissan will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect and re-install the fuel line and lock ring on the fuel tank sending unit, if necessary.

Problème : Sur certains véhicules, la tuyauterie à carburant et l'anneau de verrouillage du dispositif d'envoi d'essence pourraient ne pas avoir été posés correctement. En conséquence, la tuyauterie pourrait se détacher du capteur et laisser fuir du carburant. Si cela se produisait pendant que le véhicule roule, le moteur pourrait caler soudainement. Risques pour la sécurité : Un fuite de carburant pourrait causer un risque d'incendie. Une perte de puissance soudaine pendant que le véhicule roule pourrait augmenter le risque d'un accident. Mesures correctives : Nissan devra aviser les propriétaires par courrier et leur demander d'apporter leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour faire inspecter et reposer la tuyauterie à carburant et l'anneau de verrouillage du dispositif d'envoi d'essence au besoin.
