The issue
Issue: On certain motorhomes, the mounting bolts for the steering gear may loosen and fall out or interfere with steering components. If this happens, you may have difficulty steering or there could be a loss of steering control. Safety Risk: A loss of steering control could create a risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Newmar will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to an authorized Shyft Group Inc. repair facility to replace the steering gear mounting fasteners.

Problème : Sur certaines autocaravanes, les boulons de montage du boîtier de direction pourraient se desserrer et tomber, ou ils pourraient interférer avec les composants de la direction. Si cela se produisait, le conducteur pourrait avoir des difficultés à diriger le véhicule ou il pourrait perdre le contrôle de la direction. Risque pour la sécurité : Une perte de contrôle de la direction peut entraîner un risque d'accident. Mesures correctives : Newmar doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur autocaravane à un atelier de réparation autorisé par Shyft Group Inc. afin de faire remplacer les boulons de montage du boîtier de direction.
