The issue

Issue: On certain trucks, when the manual override is used to switch off the daytime running lamps (DRLs), the lights may not turn on again when you start driving. Canadian regulations require that if DRLs are manually turned off, they must turn on again when you start driving. Safety Risk: Driving without daytime running lights could make the vehicle less visible to others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Volvo Trucks will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to update the vehicle software.

Problème Sur certains camions, lorsque la commande de priorité manuelle est utilisée pour arrêter les feux de jour, ces derniers pourraient ne pas se rallumer au démarrage. La réglementation canadienne exige que les feux de jour se rallument au démarrage après avoir été arrêtés manuellement. Risques pour la sécurité Le fait de conduire sans feu de jour pourrait rendre le véhicule moins visible pour les autres usagers de la route et augmenter les risques d'accident. Mesures correctives Volvo Trucks doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur camion chez un concessionnaire pour faire mettre à jour le logiciel du véhicule.
